Job Posting for Business Development Sales Associate
Do you have a college degree and some experience in sales? Are you interested in launching your career as a business-to-business sales professional for a growing trade association?
NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, headquartered in Herndon, VA, is interested in hearing from you. We seek an entry level sales associate for advertising and event sponsorship sales.
The successful candidate must have superior oral and written communications skills, be engaging and able to make effective sales calls, and be eager and quick to learn new skills. Candidates should have excellent customer service skills and experience in Microsoft Office. A background in retail sales, media sales, business-to-business sales, or association sales is a plus.
The Business Development Associate will manage sales of print advertising, digital advertising, and event sponsorships and exhibit space. Other duties include collection of advertising materials, researching and qualifying new leads, assistance in maintaining a membership database, and proofreading of materials.
Requirements: some experience in sales or a related field (media sales or business-to-business sales a plus); bachelor’s degree; excellent written and oral communication skills; solid online research skills.
NAIOP offers base salary plus commissions commensurate with experience, flexible schedule, excellent benefits including three weeks vacation, healthcare coverage and pension program.
