Summary
The Specialist, Project Management, is able to develop a variety of complex project plans, lead and facilitate project team meetings, hold project teams accountable to deadlines and deliverables, and communicate across the enterprise to ensure projects run smoothly. This position demonstrates excellent judgement in analyzing project details and possesses the skills to make connections across different projects and adapt to teams’ unique needs in pursuing the successful completion of project objectives. This position is comfortable working across a broad mix of projects from software and system implementations to large association conferences or events, to strategic initiatives, and can manage multiple projects at once. In addition, this position incorporates business analysis skills to assist the organization in assessing business problems and change solutions.
Essential Functions
Manages assigned projects, including creating project plans, coordinating project team roles and responsibilities, and scheduling tasks and deliverables.
Coordinates and facilitates project meetings and communicates with teams constructively.
Holds project teams accountable to deadlines and deliverables, staying on time and on budget.
Develops and maintains project documentation and status reports.
Excels at using interpersonal skills to navigate team dynamics, negotiate conflict, manage expectations, and assess communication needs to establish cohesive project teams.
Uses project management skills to set priorities, assess risks, and allocate time and resources effectively.
Participates in setting best practices for project management across the association.
Assists with supporting administration and training for the enterprise project management tool (currently Asana).

Qualifications
5+ years experience in project management or related field.
Knowledge of project management functions and best practices, with proven ability to balance multiple projects and adhere to tight deadlines.
Possess business analytical skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and team building capabilities; ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization, including with senior leaders.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Acute attention to detail.
PMP preferred.
Familiarity with Asana preferred.
Experience in a member-oriented association preferred.
Travel Requirements
Up to 10% - National
