The Program Development Manager is responsible for all aspects of project management and promoting learning content that ASA University provides its member organizations. This includes designing, updating, enhancing, researching, editing, and making content available to members.
As a member of the Education Foundation staff, the Program Development Manager is also responsible for achieving the team sales and expense goals by supporting ASA University at national and regional conferences.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages the design and development of training interventions based on behavioral and cognitive sciences for the association’s target audience and using best-practice adult learning theory.
Maintains and manages core learning technologies, including the Learning Management System (LMS).
Leads the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of ASA-U educational programs, including planning, budgeting, processes, resource allocation, and materials
Manage the creation and update of the association’s original content utilizing SME input, including ideation, scriptwriting, audiovisual editing, quality assurance, and deployment.
Acts as liaison and facilitator with subject matter experts, vendors, and content providers for course development and updates.
Acts as staff liaison for the ASA University Task Group to gain input on customer needs and future program growth.
Manages external deployment of ASA content to member-hosted LMS, including manufacturer training deployment to ASA University.
Evaluates alternative training deployment approaches and leads the adoption and implementation of program enhancements.
Interacts with members to establish relationships and advise on training needs and solutions, including representation at ASA’s national and regional meetings/conferences.
Stays updated on developments in L&D, learning technology, and performance improvement, applying them to ASA educational offerings.
Provides escalated troubleshooting support for educational offerings.
Stays informed about best practice standards to ensure top-tier educational offerings and value.

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree in Instructional Design or related field from an accredited college or university, or commensurate experience.
Expert proficiency in Learning Management System (LMS) functionality and systems architecture.
Expert proficiency in adult learning theory, implementation, and execution.
Working proficiency with SCORM and SCORM delivery.
Working proficiency of HTML/HTML5.
Ability to think strategically/creatively in a deadline-driven environment.
Strong negotiation/written/oral communication skills.
Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
A positive, get-it-done attitude and solid attention to detail.
