The Digital Marketing Specialist position plays an integral part in ACSA’s communications strategy to strengthen its member outreach and leadership role in the industry. As a key member of the team, this person supports all marketing and membership initiatives under the supervision of the Marketing & Membership Director to deliver strategic solutions that will drive member acquisition and retention. This is a full time fully remote position.
The Digital Marketing Coordinator will lead the execution of the following:
Content and Campaign Management (50%)
Develop, implement, and distribute high quality communications across ACSA’s digital channels following established templates
Use systems such as Constant Contact, Wordpress, social media platforms, and other digital marketing tools to build and publish our digital communications.
Execute on a content calendar of website changes, emails, and social media posts
In partnership with marketing and editorial teams, provide copywriting, editing, and proofreading support
Maintain and edit digital assets for marketing campaigns as well as membership initiatives, using graphic design tools such as Canva. Crop and scale graphics, apply color correction, etc., as needed.
Manage contacts in our membership database for email campaigns.
Assist in execution of Convention marketing and digital communications.
Ensure adherence to ACSA design, style, and content standards throughout websites, campaign emails, and other digital communications.
Membership Marketing Support (50%)
Support all membership initiatives under the supervision of the Marketing & Membership Director to deliver strategic solutions that will drive member acquisition and retention
Work within our membership database (CRM) to support monthly membership maintenance needs, such as onboarding, engagement, and retention emails.
Provide support on a variety of member fulfillment and engagement initiatives, including our annual craft spirits awards programs.
Participate in Membership Committee as a staff liaison to support strategic committee projects.
Experience and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, public relations, communications, or design is preferred but not required.
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in marketing, PR, journalism, communications, or design is required with at least 1 year in a content or communications-focused role.
Basic graphic design editing skills required, specifically with Adobe or Canva.
Website content management and email marketing experience required
Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and creativity while meeting deadlines on multiple projects within a fast-paced collaborative environment
Strong writing, editing and proofing skills
This role is mostly remote with some travel for staff meetings. Attendance at the annual conference is mandatory for all employees. Local to the Washington, D.C. area is a preferred but not required.
The American Craft Spirits Association is the only registered national nonprofit trade group representing the U.S. craft spirits industry, with a mission to elevate and advocate for the community of craft spirits producers. Members vote for the 15 democratically elected representatives who make up the Board of Directors, and this Board collectively works to govern the ACSA in a transparent, responsive manner and in accordance with our bylaws.
