NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association is looking for a Senior Education Manager to join our team. As our Senior Education Manager, you will have the opportunity to create programming and oversee onsite delivery for NTCA’s conferences, meetings, and online learning platforms. You will work closely with other Member Engagement staff on programming content and related management tasks for various association meetings and conferences. Working with member-led planning groups and outside vendors.
What will you do?
Responsible for programming and delivery of training at assigned conferences. Collaborates with internal subject matter experts and various external sources on content development and with the conferences and meetings team in the Member Engagement division on agenda development and event planning.
Design programs and recruits’ speakers for the association’s two largest meetings—RTIME and Fall Conference—as well as other specialty conferences, stand-alone meetings, Board Development events, and other NTCA meetings as assigned.
For assigned meetings, manage an ongoing call for topics process (including solicitation of session ideas, reviewing, evaluating, and routing submissions, and communicating with potential speakers); oversees speaker management (including contracting, correspondence, housing and travel needs, rehearsal information and on-site support); to ensure exceptional presentations and attendee experience for NTCA event participants.
Oversee onsite speaker support for RTIME and Fall Conference and other various meetings as assigned.
Co-manage administration of sponsored and paid webcasts, including managing schedules, invitations, rehearsals, day-of hosting, sponsorship fulfillment and ensuring the webcast is supported with regards to technology needs.
Manage partnerships with outside organizations for speaker booking or other programming-related services.
Serve as co-staff advisor to the Associate Member Advisory Council and works with other relevant NTCA committees for specialized content development.
Work closely with the Director of Meetings and Education and Sr. Director of Member Services and Engagement in the development of long- and short-range plans, strategic endeavors and budgets.
Analyze evaluation data from assigned meetings, membership data, and relevant NTCA committees to continually assess program quality and presentation effectiveness to inform future programming efforts.
Ensure conference content is sufficient to satisfy NTCA certificate program needs and any relevant CEUs based on assigned meetings.
As part of the broader Member Engagement team, provides quality customer service and promotes positive member relations by phone, on-line and on-site during events. May provide in-person support for and participate in special projects or events when necessary.
Provide updates to the programming department’s process documentation and Business Continuity Plan.
Work collaboratively across the division and the organization to actively assist where needed and seek out ways to add value to the organization.
Perform other special duties, as required.
The ideal candidate will have the following position requirements:
Understanding and working knowledge of the broadband industry operations, structure, issues and technology; trade association’s cooperative development and general board of director’s roles and responsibilities.
Understanding and advanced knowledge of training programs, including development and assessment processes.
Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills; ability to take initiative; demonstrated experience with stand-up presentations; and developed team building and leadership skills, including the ability to facilitate a variety of meetings.
Strong collaboration, negotiation and developed creative thinking and initiative skills.
Proficient with various applications such as MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
Practical knowledge, skills and abilities usually acquired through an undergraduate degree and a minimum of 6-8 years of related work experience.
