The REALTOR® Alliance of Greater Cincinnati is looking for a collaborative leader with great communication skills. The ideal candidate possesses an agile mindset that develops and grows the organization. This leader knows how to gain alignment between the leadership, the members, and the staff. An experienced facilitator, the ideal candidate is adept at managing the complexities of a member-driven association with volunteer leaders. The candidate should understand how to build a culture in an evolving organization due to growth and the ongoing transformation of our industry.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) oversees the day-to-day operations of this 7,500-member association and affiliated business(es). This person collaborates with volunteer leadership to determine the organization’s vision and implements plans and programs that are in line with the strategic vision of the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for all administration and management of the association with a focus on developing visionary skills; develops staff positions based on envisioned organizational needs; can function as a spokesperson with added focus on community and real estate industry issues.
Serves as a visionary leader of the association, delegates day-to-day operations to other staff. Develops and maintains an environment in which senior staff takes initiative and can make management decisions.
Positions the association as a recognized leader in governmental advocacy in the local community and in partnership with the state and/or national associations.
Ensures strong financial position and revenue sources to operate the association at optimum and future levels with suitable funding available to act quickly on opportunities, threats, and new initiatives.
Represents the organization at a state and national level by attending twice-yearly national conferences and state conventions.
Develops a comprehensive budget based on strategic outcomes with volunteer approval.
Develops policies and procedures based on association competencies and goals and ensures sufficient flexibility to allow for association creativity and responsiveness.
Develops, and recommends to the board, specific objectives, and time frames for implementation of the board's strategic goals.
Ensures that governing documents and policies are flexible enough to allow the association to creatively respond to changing market conditions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
10 years’ experience in association management or closely related field. Experience in a REALTOR® association preferred.
Thorough understanding of management and financial practices in all areas and phases of business operations.
Skilled in organizational development, people management, budget, and resource development.
Superlative communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate as a leader.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Flexibility and the ability to multitask.
