ABOUT THIS ROLE
The International Coaching Federation & Foundation (ICF) is the largest resource for business and personal coaches, representing more than 40,000 members and 30,000 credential holders. ICF supports and preserves the integrity of coaching through standards supported by the individual membership.
The Assistant Director of Ethics and Compliance will support the vision of the ICF Ethics and Compliance Department to raise the standards of the coaching profession through compassion and education. This position will report to the Director of Ethics, Compliance and Culture. Through their individual work, they will support the department’s mission of upholding the ethical integrity of all ICF stakeholders to elevate the profession of coaching.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages the Accreditation Complaint Process (including serving as the point of contact for both complainant and ICF accredited coach training program, conducting the complaint investigation, and making a final determination).
Maintain stakeholder compliance of the ICF brand (includes responding to misuse of the ICF brand by individual stakeholders or coach training programs and actively seeking out brand misuse in the marketplace).
Lend support to ICF stakeholders through the Ethics Assist Line (respond to individual/Chapter/training program queries regarding a variety of coaching ethics-related questions, help potential complainants through ICF complaint processes).
Miscellaneous ethics-related tasks throughout the ICF ecosystem as required (may include supporting the monthly Ethics Water Cooler conversation, ethics education for ICF stakeholders, maintenance of ICF’s GDPR compliance, ICF Code of Ethics review, administrative and support roles as needed, etc.)
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Minimum of 5-7 years’ relevant experience in association or nonprofit management.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills working with both internal and external stakeholders.
Diplomatic, strong interpersonal and listening skills, and experience with delivering exceptional customer service.
Ability to remain objective, have an ongoing awareness of biases, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Intercultural fluency and a proven ability to build collaborative relationships within diverse environments.
Work independently in an unstructured, fast-paced environment of a large international organization.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, strategic thinker, and experience in generating ideas and leading projects.
Remain flexible to adapt to changes in work environment.
Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
Team player who can work with a small team within a global, matrixed environment with a positive and “can do” attitude with a degree of initiative.
Ability to apply a Code of Ethics or Code of Conduct to a wide range of real-life scenarios.
Experience in volunteer management, coordination/planning/execution of meetings, webinars, and events.
Familiarity with coaching.
Ability to travel on occasion.
Proficient capability in Microsoft Office Suite of products.
