ASCPT seeks an Education Technology Manager to join our team.
Our Organization: The American Society for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics (ASCPT) consists of more than 2,700 professionals whose primary interest is to advance the science and practice of clinical pharmacology and translational science for the therapeutic benefit of patients and society. ASCPT is the largest scientific and professional organization serving the disciplines of clinical pharmacology and translational science, with a focus on improving the understanding and use of existing drug therapies and developing safer and more effective treatments for the future.

Key Responsibilities of This Role: The Education Technology Manager will serve as platform administrator for all education/event-related technology systems and will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of the overall scientific program, including all sessions, speakers, and abstracts. Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
Working closely with Annual Meeting and other technology vendors to deliver high-performing platforms and education offerings;
Assisting with managing the scientific program for the Annual Meeting;
Manage the online abstract and session proposal processes, to and including system builds, testing, submission, review, coordinating with relevant staff working on the abstract supplement, and management of posters and authors during live conference;
Support in-person and digital/virtual elements of all Annual Meeting and other events throughout planning process and delivery;
Maintain all digital learner statistics and user data;
Assisting with speaker coordination and logistics;
Coordinate and manage student/trainee Annual Meeting-related activities prior to and during the Annual Meeting;
Serving as one of two primary staff liaisons to the Scientific Program Committee, Scientific Awards Nominations Task Force, Scientific Awards Selection Task Force, and,
Assisting with webinars and podcasts.
Education & Experience/Accomplishments Requirements: The successful candidate will have 4+ years of experience working for a scientific/medical association within an education role. Experience with abstract/proposal management systems required; skills in all Microsoft Office products, strong project management, and communication skills, along with the ability to pitch in, as needed, are essential. Must possess a high degree of integrity and maturity and handle confidential information discreetly and appropriately. Experience with online, in-person, and hybrid meeting formats and webinars/podcasts is a plus.
Location: This position allows for a remote work environment, with access and travel to the ASCPT’s headquarter building located in Alexandria, VA, as wanted and necessary.
