GENERAL SUMMARY
Reporting directly to the President & CEO, the Administrative Assistant to International and Foundation Boards provides critical executive support, serving as the primary point of contact for members of both boards. This Administrative Assistant also acts as the board liaison to the senior management team at ISPE. The position provides support in developing agendas, meeting minutes, scheduling, and facilitating meetings for both boards.
The Administrative Assistant to International and Foundation Boards must be enthusiastic, creative, personable, and enjoy working in a results-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will have the ability to exercise good judgement in a variety of situations and utilize strong communication, administrative, and organizational skills.
Essential Functions:
Boards
- Manage the planning, development and coordination of communication, agendas, minutes, programs, logistics and volunteers for the following executive-level groups for both the International and Foundation Boards:
- Board of Directors
- Executive Committee
- Nominating Committee
- Board Officer Nominating Committee
- Governance Committee
- Finance and Audit Committee
- Development Committee (Foundation)
- Serve as the single point of contact for International and Foundation Board of Director members
- Lead all Society governance projects from start to finish, including:
- Annual International Board of Directors nomination and election process
- Annual updates to ISPE governance structure and policies
- Committee leadership appointments
- Annual Foundation Board of Directors nomination and appointment process
- Updates to both ISPE and ISPE Foundation bylaws
- Provide guidance to staff and volunteers on governance-related questions and issues
- Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum of five years of professional administrative experience, with international experience preferred.
- Prior experience working with Board of Directors.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in any of the following: non-profit management, Board management, corporate governance, program management.
