Come join the American Anthropological Association’s senior leadership team in charge of business, human resources, information technology, facility, and risk management operations. The next Director of Finance and Operations will contribute to the Association’s continued success by providing oversight on financial operations and policies., business contracts, accounting and information technology, and business continuity planning. They will oversee the Membership, IT, and Database / Web services, and manage human resources functions, including oversight in the development and monitoring of HR policies and programs for a staff of 25.

The successful candidate will have, at a minimum, a Bachelor’s degree in business, management, accounting or related field along with five years of mid to senior-level financial, accounting, and budgetary experience in a non-profit environment. An earned MBA in non-profit management is a plus. Candidate must have a demonstrated member-focused orientation, excellent written and verbal communication skills, an ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, a high proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and related accounting software/reporting, and demonstrated familiarity with state of the practice network administration and IT risk management strategies.
