The International Foodservice Distributors Association (IFDA) is looking for a talented and motivated Intern to assist our team. The Data Support Specialist Intern will support the Membership Team (Director and AMS Specialist) in the Industry Relations department as they prepare the association’s management system (AMS) to migrate to the Cloud, by assisting in various projects. The organization utilizes iMIS, which is one of the leading AMS platforms in the association/not-for-profit area. It is a powerful system with tons of data that is constantly flowing in and out to keep the organization on track serving its members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data entry and data cleansing
- Examine information using data analysis tools
- Improve IFDA’s data analytics
- Identify trends and generate insights by conducting routine analyses of IFDA’s various data systems
- Organize data reports and communicate your findings with others on your team
- Aggregate data from various sources to optimize data
- Integrate data from multiple IFDA’s systems
- Provide support as needed to other internal team members when specific projects involving data analysis arise
- Develop reports and maintain spreadsheets/data metrics to monitor, track and evaluate performance, compile Excel based reports.
Skills & Attributes Required:
- Must be a full-time registered student, recent college graduate or currently a senior in college
- Someone who enjoys working in a smaller, progressive, company culture
- Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting with multiple levels of IT and business management
- Good writing and verbal presentation skills
- Familiarity with Excel pivot tables and VLookup functions a plus
- Familiarity with data visualization tools a plus
- iMIS or other AMS system experience an advantage
- Some experience in project management a plus
- High degree of analytical skill
This a part-time non-exempt position. Candidate must be available Monday, Wednesday & Friday to work in our office located near the Tyson Galleria and directly across from the Boro. Close to the Metro Silver Line, walking distance to restaurants and shopping. The hours can be flexible however we are looking for 15-20 hours per week.
