POSITION DESCRIPTION The Program Manager of Capacity Building works closely with AIDS United funders, clients, partners, and stakeholders to support the development, planning, and/or implementation of comprehensive capacity building services and resources for the HIV workforce. The individual in this role assists with administrative and programmatic tasks such as budget monitoring, systems, process strengthening, and reporting. The Program Manager of Capacity Building also manages and supports the day-to-day implementation of capacity-building activities across AU’s programs.
Develop, monitor, and strengthen systems to document, track, and measure the impact of the CBA activities within AU.
Effectively manage consultants and subcontractors by developing and monitoring contracts and scopes of work;
Ensure that the delivery of CBA is cost?effective, consistent, efficient, and meets or exceeds expectations;
Assist in developing/gathering programmatic content for inclusion in funding proposals and reports for donors;
Contribute to cross-programmatic workgroups and efforts aimed at the development of coordinated agency-wide CBA delivery system;
Conduct and analyze CBA needs assessments;
Develop written reports and other materials to document the delivery of quality services.
Manage CBA process within AU;
Research, design, and implement in-person and virtual technical assistance and workshops in response to requests from CBO, health departments, etc.;
Lead assessment and planning calls to develop individualized capacity building action plans to address identified needs;
Maintain effective communications with program funder(s), and support the submission of grant applications, reports, and ongoing updates about the progress of the initiative;
Maintain regular communication with subcontractors, consultants, and CBA recipients;
Work with Senior Program Manager to generate reports, documents, and other materials as requested by staff, funders, and AU leadership;
Work with Senior Program Manager to translate lessons learned and communicate with stakeholders not involved with the Initiative;
Complete other duties as assigned.
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in public health, social service, or related field or three years of relevant experience (e.g., program management, independent consultant).
Outstanding written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills;
Detail-oriented with exceptional project & time management skills;
Ability to work independently and proactively;
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and desired experience with Zoom and Salesforce;
Demonstrated experience with developing and delivering health-focused training/workshops and materials to adult learners;
Bilingual (Spanish) desired;
Legally eligible to work in the United States;
Possess strong project and team management skills; • Balance multiple responsibilities and function well under pressure, and; • Work effectively as part of a team of diverse staff.
