The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the nation’s largest and most dynamic nonprofit civil engineering association, is currently searching for a manager of Professional Advancement, responsible for leading and managing committees and programs related to the professional skills development of civil engineers.
Major responsibilities include:
Managing the activities of the Committee on Professional Advancement and the Committee on Developing Leaders
Leading, managing and developing committee and non-committee professional skills programs
Leading and facilitating a cross-division staff team, focused on streamlining leader development activities and optimizing resources across divisions
Facilitating the consideration of a comprehensive leader development program for ASCE
Maintaining professional practice content on the ASCE website
Managing the firstname.lastname@example.org email account and responding to other professional practice inquiries received from customer service
The ideal candidate will have:
Strong attention to detail as well as written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
Educational program/resource development and management experience
A four-year college/university degree or equivalent broad knowledge in specialized field
Five to eight years of engineering or association experience
