The Advertising & Media Manager is responsible for the sales and customer management of an international trade magazine. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and strategic marketer who has the ability to succeed at relationship-driven sales.
Manage the overall advertising strategy of the magazine and website
Oversee magazine and website advertising
Establish direction and develop market position of the publication
Maximize sales revenue by selling print and digital advertising
Establish important business relationships by building marketing and advertising partnerships
Service current advertising clients and expand the account base by prospecting new clients
Cultivate relationships with advertisers
Determine ways to improve profitability and provide new advertising product ideas
Maintain knowledge of advertiser analytics and ad performance
Strategize with advertisers to develop marketing plans and campaigns
3-5 years professional sales or marketing experience
Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Comprehensive understanding of magazine publishing, printing, budgeting, sales, business development, and strategic planning
