The WateReuse Association is seeking a full-time Administrative and Accounting Assistant to support critical business and administrative functions. This position reports to the Director of Finance and Administration and works closely with staff team.
The Administrative and Accounting Assistant will have three primary areas of responsibility:
Bookkeeping: Assists Director of Finance and Administration with accounts payable and receivable, report preparation for reconciliations between the Association Management System (Civi CRM) and accounting software (Quickbooks), and other accounting tasks as needed;
Association Management System (AMS) database: maintains database maintenance for Association members and partners, including data entry and report generation, and ensures overall data integrity;
General office support: Assists with general office support such as logistical support for staff meetings, ordering office supplies, IT liaison, mail collection and distribution, and other administrative functions as needed.
The WateReuse Association is the nation’s only trade association solely dedicated to advancing laws, policy, funding, and public acceptance of recycled water. WateReuse represents a coalition of utilities that recycle water, businesses that support the development of recycled water projects, and consumers of recycled water. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in an administrative capacity, possess strong skills with accounting software systems, including Quickbooks, Microsoft Office (Excel, etc.) and general association management software, and a strong ability to stay on task and multitask in a remote work environment. Candidate must live in the greater DMV region. Position is currently remote with staff eventually returning to an onsite/hybrid work environment in the District of Columbia. An Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred; competitive salary and benefits provided.
