The Senior Manager, Programs manages assigned projects, with primary emphasis on organization and execution of program planning. The Senior Manager serves a key role as the external liaison to the planning committee and internal liaison to PDA and is responsible for content development, event design, team management, program delivery, quality control, vendor relations, and evaluation. In this position, he/she/they would also work with staff to provide advanced information for the execution of logistics and marketing for events and the management of speakers and service providers.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Manger, Programs is responsible for:
Oversight of program planning committee and all deliverables, including but not limited to: all event content, theme, presenters, and posters;
Developing and managing assigned program timelines as they relate to in-person, virtual, and/or hybrid delivery;
Reviewing and editing marketing materials for events;
Managing and coordinating correspondence with planning committees, presenters, poster presenters, and moderators, both pre- and post-event;
Managing content management platform where all agenda related deliverables, exhibitors, sponsors, and content is hosted;
Managing third party contractors (e.g., platform service providers, production companies, etc.) related to virtual events;
Managing program onsite and/or virtually, including speaker updates, working with AV technician(s), production company, and program committee requests;
Developing and maintaining program content on the PDA website;
Speaker management for assigned programs including, but not limited to: drafting and sending correspondence to presenters, capturing presenter deliverables (presenter agreement forms, photos, biographies, presentations, etc.), preparing presentation links for attendees, creating slide decks for display onsite, connecting with production company, and ensuring presenter success;
Internal cross-departmental collaboration to ensure event success – includes both internal departments within global office as well as offices in Europe and Asia Pacific;
With the VP, Programs & Meetings, manage the invitation of and correspondence with global regulatory speakers as assigned;
Proofing and printing materials for distribution at events, e.g., program agendas promotional flyers, etc.; and
Performing all other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 7-9 years equivalent experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience executing virtual or hybrid events is required. Experience with CadmiumCD is highly desirable.

Work Location Details
PDA will be working under a hybrid schedule where employees will work several days per week in the Bethesda office and several days remotely.
