The ABA Litigation Section Marketing Specialist works with multiple units in the Section, promoting membership and providing marketing support to the Meetings, Programs, Sponsorship, Committees, and Publications Units. This fast-paced position provides great exposure to and experience with the Litigation Section and association-wide membership and marketing. Those who are skilled at multi-tasking, enjoy interacting with a large staff team and volunteer leaders, and eager to learn new technologies, should apply to join our team. The Section Marketing Specialist will assist in developing and overseeing implementation of strategic marketing plan for entity offerings. This includes, but is not limited to marketing entity membership, benefits, products, and programs.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
? Partner with management to develop strategic marketing initiatives, including cost?benefit analysis, entity marketing goals, and non?dues revenue generation initiatives.
? Integrate all entity marketing and communication efforts to create cohesive brand awareness. ? Develop message platforms and identify suitable target audiences to establish effective marketing efforts.
? Market membership, products, events, and other services, such as sponsorships.
? Serve as member liaison, which may include staffing member committees.
? Perform research and data analysis to aid in strategic decision making.
? Mentor and coach marketing staff of entity.
? Other duties as assigned.
Required Education, Qualifications, Experience
? Bachelor’s degree from four?year college or university, or equivalent marketing experience.
? Minimum of 5 years marketing and communications experience.
? Proven experience in marketing plan development, administration, and evaluation.
? Written/Oral Communications Skills
? External Resource/Vendor Management experience
? Prior Project/Campaign Management experience
? Intermediate level experience with Microsoft Office Suite, and campaign management tools.
Preferred Education, Qualifications, Experience
? Experience with graphic design software: Adobe Photoshop, InDesign
? Prior experience in the membership association context.
