The Senior Manager of Business Development is responsible for selling PDA membership, education, and in boardroom products and services to prospects and members.
Roles and Responsibilities:
100% focus on closing deals, identifying new targets, upselling, building relationships for future business
Communicate effectively with prospects the value of PDA benefits and services using compelling positioning, messaging, and sales tools to drive revenue growth across membership, education, and in-boardroom services, including board placement services
Conduct market-facing presentations to highlight benefits of our products and services to our clients
Execute against marketing campaigns and lead generation tools
Own prospect tracking and sales process from lead to close
Develop relationships that identify opportunities for membership growth and engagement
Conduct regular, targeted outreach to drive and deliver engagement each quarter
Respond to inbound requests in a timely manner
Record key information during the sales process and member engagement
Support the PDA chapter system with prospects sales as well as with delivering membership benefits and engagement/retention solutions
Live event attendance and roadshow set up/dismantle
Perform other duties as assigned
Report to Business Development Officer weekly
Creative thinker, excellent listener and communicator who demonstrates intellectual curiosity, integrity, analytical skills, attention to detail, time management and delivers outstanding verbal and written communications
5 years minimum professional sales experience
Strong communication and presentation skills
Experienced with salesforce.com or similar CRM, MemberClicks, BoardEX, Active Campaign a plus; web conferencing tools, expert-level proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
