Senior Manager, CE Programs & ADA Studios Chicago, IL
The American Dental Association is dedicated to promoting the public's health through its initiatives in research, education, advocacy, public awareness and the development of standards.
This position provides strategic direction in collaboration with the Senior Director, Continuing Education and Advisory Committee on Annual Meetings, long-range planning, and structure to the development and execution of continuing education including:
Asynchronous online programming
In-person courses outside of SmileCon
Virtual CE components of SmileCon
This individual is responsible for ensuring the ADA maintains a strong reputation and presence in the dental CE marketplace with courses that meet the needs of dental professionals. They lead a team that creates and enhances member value and generates non-dues revenue for the ADA.
This position works closely and collaboratively with all ADA agencies that produce continuing education and/or adult learning to develop, execute and manage a business plan that is comprehensive, integrated, and focused on member value and financial sustainability.
There are four main criteria that the CE Department will use in evaluating CE opportunities which will provide the framework for assessing and evaluating new programs and opportunities.
1. The educational initiative aligns with ADA's vision, mission, and goals. 2. The educational initiative provides a unique value that supports and drives membership. 3. The educational initiative assists the ADA in setting the industry standard for continuing dental education. 4. The educational initiative is developed under a financially sustainable/viable model.
BS/BA with a minimum of 8 years of experience in educational content, and/or digital content delivery.
In lieu of a BS/BA, a minimum of 12 years of experience is required.

Must have knowledge of Database Software
Must have knowledge of best practices in adult education
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
There will be times when extensive evening and/or weekend work might be necessary to meet critical deadlines.
Highly Desirable Skills:
Knowledge of webcasting, online courses, instructional design, or LMS platforms.
Experience in meeting planning or digital event planning.
