Summary of Position:
The Manager, Foundation will be responsible for the management of the NAMA Foundation, a 501(c) 3 charitable organizations programming, serving the convenience services industry. Primary responsibilities include involvement in the execution of both the organization’s strategic plan and the management and execution of programs and administration of the organization’s grant and scholarship programs.
Candidate will be expected to exhibit exemplary financial and donor stewardship and develop and maintain relationships with current and potential NAMA Foundation donors through written correspondence, telephone conversations, and face-to-face meetings. Candidate will be responsible for crafting development communication pieces that appeal to a wide variety of audiences. This candidate will also serve as the point of contact for the NAMA staff, donors and other external audiences
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and execute an annual development plan focused on diversifying and expanding annual revenues and the donor base.
Provide creative and innovative solutions to expand and fortify donor engagement.
Project management for Industry Census, Economic Impact Study and other Foundation projects.
Steward Foundation investments through transparency, accountability and ongoing and regular communication/ reporting with donors and the industry at-large.
Manage the process for accepting, evaluating and approving scholarship application requests in accordance with Board approved guidelines, budgets and the strategic and operational plans.
Attend 2 board meetings a year and present as requested. May also include attendance at the NAMA Board of Director’s meetings.
Manage all aspects of donor invoicing and accounts receivable.
Lead the promotion and brand marketing for the Foundation.
Represent the Foundation at NAMA and convenience services industry events.
Effectively work with volunteers at all levels.
Increase awareness and branding of the NAMA Foundation through managing special events and telling the Foundation’s story.
Strong program management skills.
Highly collaborative style. Sincere commitment to working with staff, board members, association members, volunteers, and vendors.
Excellent written communication skills are essential.
Proven successful fundraising experience, national in scope, including corporate, individual giving programs, as well as special events.
Ability to think strategically; proactively identify issues and generate recommendations.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum 5 years foundation and events experience.
High proficiency in MS Office software.
Travel up to 10% is required.
Hybrid work environment (in-office and remote).
