What we're looking for: A talented professional who will provide a vision and strategic plans to maintain the preeminence of the RSNA annual meeting, and other Society events, with consideration of the needs of audiences including radiologists, healthcare professionals, and industry. The Assistant Executive Director (AED) of Meeting Services and Corporate Relations will direct and manage program activities and fiscal budgets for the Departments of Meetings and Convention Services, and the Department of Corporate Relations; is responsible for implementing Society policies and projects in these areas; and in conjunction with the Executive Director, serves as contact with the Board Liaison for Information Technology and Annual Meeting.

What you'll do:
Assist the Executive Director and Board of Directors in formulating Society long-range plans and administering programs to meet strategic goals. Serve as a member of the top executive team to assist the Executive Director in the daily management of the RSNA Headquarters operations
Through supervision and consultation with the Directors of the Meetings and Convention Services Department, oversee the activities of Housing, Travel, Event Management, Convention Operations, and Technical Exhibits. Responsible for execution of the virtual component of the annual meeting. Participate in formulating and administering Society operations policies. Assure that support is provided to other departments in planning and execution of committee meetings, education, and workshop meetings throughout the year for both RSNA and managed Academic Societies. Review all bid specifications, select all contractors for the Annual Meeting, and approve appropriate sections of the RSNA budget requests submitted annually to the Executive Director. Work in conjunction with the Education Department to facilitate both in-person and virtual program needs
Through supervision and consultation with the Director of Corporate Relations, oversee the daily activities of the Corporate Relations department, including the development and planning of corporate relationships and sales. Assist in identifying corporate needs to match sales opportunities across sponsorships, advertising, technical exhibits, live events and fundraising to maximize benefit for the organization.
Serve as staff liaison to the Corporate Relations Committee and Technical Exhibits Committee: responsible for development of reports, new program requests, financial impact statements, agenda materials, and Committee meeting minutes. Oversee arrangements for and attends Committee meetings
Serve as a member of the Executive Group: responsible for assisting Board of Directors with achieving strategic goals and objectives of the Society; including resource management – fiscal, staff, headquarters facilities; strategic-plan - evaluation, development, and implementation; society ambassadors to –members, global outreach, medical associations, executives of the City of Chicago, Organized Labor, Contractors, etc.
Attend RSNA Board of Directors meetings: prepare Board reports for specific agenda items, prepare new program requests and reviews accuracy of minutes.
Demonstrated success in planning and executing large and small conferences/meetings in both the physical and virtual environments
Experience with managing corporate sales activities as well as technical exhibitions
Ability to think and plan strategically as well as manage execution
Ability to balance multiple projects, prioritize work, problem solve and deliver results
Excellent communicator across all channels and audiences
Highly analytical with demonstrated success using data to drive decisions
Experience guiding volunteers in program strategy, development, delivery and evaluation
Proven success as a supervisor, coach and developer of staff
