NAED is looking for a creative Meeting & Program Content Manager to create marketing strategies to engage members and ensure that they have a positive view of NAED’s products and services, including but not limited to meeting content, securing speaking opportunities, representing NAED at industry events, and implementing marketing campaigns.
The Meeting & Program Content Manager is responsible for the development of program content for events, based on key industry issues with input from key stakeholders. The Meeting & Program Content Manager is accountable for providing the marketing department with promotional materials for new and existing programs and other products, tools, or services as needed for strategic growth initiatives. This can include educational products, virtual events, and in-person conferences and meetings.
Research and thoroughly understand all NAED products and services, as well as the issues pertinent to the electrical industry.
Collaborate across departments to contribute to meeting design, agenda development, brand building, and event communications and marketing.
Provide learning opportunities and content management for each event and program, including creation and management of content, securing content leaders & panelists and design of programs and events that provide a balance of programming.
Develop strategies leveraging existing content and access to industry communities to promote events and tradeshows.
Creative visioning to plan and achieve the big picture with the ability to translate those big picture ideas into reality.
Overview and evaluate multiple programs; recommending new formats to enhance the attendees’ experience and implement as directed.
Manage and participate on committees and task forces to develop and execute strategic action items (Adventure, etc.).
Present a professional image at all times to members and vendors.
Proactively work with marketing department on cyclical association projects (i.e., Association conferences, annual research projects, talent development catalog, Future Fund campaign, government affairs initiatives etc.)
Work with marketing department on creation and execution of all aspects of on-site event marketing for NAED conferences.
Complete additional projects/duties as assigned.
Travel required – time will be spent traveling to various events.
Bachelor’s degree required.
5 years of work experience in marketing, communications, or similar relevant field.
Thorough understanding of NAED marketing techniques, such as print, email, digital, catalog, brochures, collateral, social media, etc., particularly relating to promotion of meetings and training programs and services.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with extraordinary attention to detail.
Strong negotiation and organizational skills.
Ability to think strategically/creatively and juggle multiple assignments driven by deadlines with the ability to be proactive and take calculated risks when indicated.
Demonstrated team focused mindset (has an absolutely positive, get-it-done attitude).
Self-starter possessing the ability and desire to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
Excellent listener who cultivates relationships and is adaptable to varied styles.
Must have integrity and credibility with leaders, members, and staff.
