This position requires an individual who can work both virtually and in-house for two non-profit associations. The individual selected will work with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, committees, Foundation Board and volunteers to help achieve their strategic goals and overall success of their association. They will plan support and coordinate projects and activities for the Association to assure that objectives are attained, plans fulfilled, and member needs met.
Administrative – answer phones, process invoices, fulfill membership requests
Financial Management – assist organizational leadership and Executive Director with implementing and adhering to financial policies and procedures.
Publications – Oversee publication of printed magazine and develop content and create monthly e-newsletter
Meeting and convention planning – Assist Events Division and Executive Director with meeting logistics (both virtually and on-site at annual conference)
Provide Board, Foundation Board and committee support
Membership – maintain membership database, work with Executive Director to implement membership plan. Take lead in membership recruitment for new members and member retention.
Marketing – develop content for interesting and informative post on social media
Website – assist with updating association web site
Other duties as assigned
Excellent organizational skills
Can work both independently and with a group
Maintain positive internal and external relationships
Understands financial principles
Possesses excellent communication skills, both verbal and writing
Familiar with digital outlets, i.e., Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn
Experience with database management and technology required
Experience with membership management preferred
Previous experience in non-profit management desired but not required
