The Membership, Marketing, and Communications Manager is responsible for all aspects of membership development to promote growth and strengthen the association; as well as implementing an effective marketing and communications program to convey the value of membership, encourage participation and assist in meeting annual revenue goals.
Membership Recruitment & Retention
Manage the membership renewal and retention process through mailings, email campaigns, personal phone calls, office visits.
Plan and execute targeted marketing campaigns to prospective members using direct mail, email marketing, and personal phone calls. Create a robust pipeline of leads through networking, research, referrals, and phone calls.
Serve as main contract for all membership inquiries.
Attend industry events to represent and promote ASM and develop prospective member leads.
Marketing & Communications
Write, edit, and update marketing material promoting membership benefits, services, and events for print and online publication. Oversee creative design and production.
Develop and update content for the ASM website.
Maintain and enhance ASM’s social media presence and raise the Association profile in the AEC community. Experience with social media marketing and retargeting.
Write content for monthly member newsletter.
Submit ASM news to industry publications and write press releases as needed.
Proofread all news and marketing materials for publication.
Identify opportunities to develop programs and partnerships that will lead to an increase in membership and/or member engagement.
Assist in developing program content and speakers for ASM seminars and events in addition to managing the marketing of events through all appropriate channels.
Develop and recruit Association sponsors to assist in meeting annual revenue goals.
Stand in for the CEO as needed to represent ASM at industry functions.
Serve as staff liaison to assigned committees; work to implement committee initiatives.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required with 3+ years of experience, preferably with a trade association.
Excellent verbal, written, and in-person communication skills.
Goal oriented, energetic, and organized team player driven to exceed goals.
Takes initiative, demonstrates creativity, personable with a high level of professionalism.
Ability to articulate the mission, purpose, programs and services of the Association.
Self-motivated and self-directed and able to prioritize and manage several complex tasks at once.
Able to anticipate problems and find solutions.
Salary range: $60,000-$80,000 based on experience.

Office hours are Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM with flexibility for some remote work. Occasional attendance at evening events with some in-state travel.
Valid Massachusetts Driver’s license and access to vehicle is required.
