Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; Master’s degree and CPA preferred. Credentials (years of experience): At least six years professional management experience which includes managing accounting, automated, integrated accounting system experience. Supervisory experience required. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles required plus experience managing a professional/clerical accounting staff. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Be able to communicate authoritatively, effectively, and tactfully with AGD officers, members, suppliers and staff and present a positive image of AGD through these communications. Foster a collaborative work culture that is positive about implementing change. Possess exceptional PC skills, including advanced Excel, and ability and willingness to learn new software and programs as required. Experience Microsoft Great Plains strongly preferred. Experience with iMis preferred. Be able to provide computerized support for the budgeting process. Knowledge of federal and local tax requirements, experience in not-for profit tax compliance issues. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, project management, deadline orientation and understand meaning of confidentiality. Well organized, with a high degree of attention to detail, able to establish priorities, develop a budget, monitor and control expenditures. Able to work additional hours and travel as needed. |
