The Role of a Certified Ratings Program Manager The CRP Manager administers and is responsible for the performance of the CRP. This involves providing detailed direction to CRP participants; coordinating activities with other departments; initiating and executing improvements to existing processes; developing new processes as needed and communicating with authority to participants and partners overseas. As part of its mission to “uphold industry integrity on behalf of AMCA members worldwide,” it maintains the AMCA Certified Ratings Program (CRP). In place for more than 75 years, the AMCA CRP assures not only that a product line has been tested and rated in conformance with AMCA standards and requirements, but that published performance ratings are accurate and reliable. AMCA certifies 20 different kinds of products, for 303 manufacturers around the world located in 30 different countries and on 6 continents. There are a total of 4070 products certified. Over the last five years, the total number of certified products has increased by 20 percent. Your core responsibilities would be: - Administer the Certified Ratings Program in a manner that continually strives to reduce the entry barrier into the program by developing and maintaining training tools, aids, and processes to make the CRP easier to access and navigate.
- Interacting with program participants in a professional, friendly, and timely manner.
- Enforce the AMCA Certified Ratings Program through:
- Display of certified products in AMCA’s Product Directory
- Enforcement of provisions as described in the program
- Ensuring the uniform administration of the program by licensed agents and employees at remote and headquarters locations.
- Impartial and consistent interpretation of the provisions of the program.
- Administering and enforcing ancillary conformity-assessment programs, such as the louver listing program.
- Maintaining:
- AMCA’s accreditation in accordance with ISO/IEC 17065:2012, Conformity Assessment—Requirements for Bodies Certifying Products, Processes, and Services.
- AMCA’s recognition as an Energy Star certification body.
- Periodically preparing reports on the status of certification programs.
