The association headquarters is centrally located in the state in Orlando, and the legislative Office of Public Policy is located in the heart of Tallahassee. A Brief Overview The Director of Local Association Services serves as the primary policy analysis contact for local association leadership, Association Executives, and members in the areas of professional standards, code of ethics, MLS policy, and arbitration. This role also serves as state association liaison between the local association executives, MLS Executives, and the state association. Additionally, this role oversees Association programming and communications and serves as core standards liaison for the state association, certifying local associations through the National Association of Realtors dashboard. What you will do - Primary Communications Contact with Local Associations via: Email, The Voice, Weekly Networking Zoom Sessions, telephone. Ninety percent of the communications that flows from the state association to the locals is done through this position.
- Local Association/Internal NAR Policy Consultant on matters involving Code of Ethics and Arbitration Enforcement, MLS Policy, Trademark, association bylaws.
- Responsible for all local state hosted Association Executive and local staff education programming in coordination with a subgroup (the AE Study Group – chaired by the VC of the AE Council. This programing includes a two-day in-person conference at a hotel. Securing speakers, sponsors, organizing the event from start to finish. Working with Meeting Services and Communications and a three-hour professional development session offered during Florida Realtors Annual Convention and Trade Expo. This carries a meal sponsor and professional speaker. Coordinate New AE Orientation to formally introduce state Associations products and services to new AEs.
- Responsible for all state association Professional Standards Programming for local associations on request including writing the course, scheduling trainings with local contacts, coordinating attorneys to present and personally presenting the course.
- Core Standards Liaison to all 51 local associations providing consultation services, review of annual compliance submission tools, and certification . (NAR requires all local associations to meet their required standards to retain their charter. Annually, locals must complete an online document with uploads to certify. The state association is responsible for signing off. The Core Standards liaison acts on behalf of the state CEO in this process.)
- Write monthly column on NAR policy for Florida Realtors Legal News that is distributed to member subscribers.
