Position Description: ACEC is seeking an experienced, self-motivated association professional as the Assistant Director, Affiliate Sales and Sponsorship. The Assistant Director will work with the Director, Affiliate Sales and Sponsorships in the development, execution and administrative support of the association’s non-dues revenue efforts including recruitment of Affiliate members and sales of exhibit, advertising and sponsorship products to this audience. Other key responsibilities include identifying and contacting new prospects for sales opportunities. The Assistant Director, Affiliate Sales and Sponsorship will assist the Director with collaboration between Meetings and other Business Unit staff to ensure strong communication and seamless integration of program and logistics for meetings, advertising, and other non-membership revenue products. Candidate will be responsible for data entry and invoicing of all sales Assistant Director is directly responsible for in CRM and AMS database platforms and will coordinate and assist in delivery of all aspects of sponsorships sold. Duties: Exhibits/Sponsorship Responsibilities - Work with Meetings and Communications teams in the development/creation of rules and processes for exhibit sales, booth assignments, advertising placement, logistical planning, execution, and analysis of market trends.
- Creation/development in conjunction with the Director on all sponsor packages for non-dues revenue to include pricing, content, and fulfillment.
- Maintain and update the sales opportunities on the ACEC website to ensure all updates/changes are made to the site year-round.
Budgetary Responsibilities - Support the Director in financial management of non-dues revenue budgets. Develop meeting budgets and manage projects to achieve budgeted goals.
- Track expenses and revenue and participate in monthly financial review.
Specific Responsibilities - Identify and contact new sales prospects. Close sales across the non-dues revenue portfolio of engagement opportunities.
- Work with the Director to develop post-event reports and maintain historical records.
- Develop and maintain SOPs for Sales Operations processes. Conduct periodic process reviews.
- Maintain accurate tracking of activities and sales in Salesforce or other CRM system.
- Establish and maintain processes and systems in accordance with the ACEC requirements and meeting industry best practices to ensure consistency, efficiency, and professionalism in meeting management.

Qualifications: - Requires experience in all aspects of sales planning with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience with outbound sales and direct sales budget responsibility.
- Consultative sales expertise, especially with service offerings. Experience in engineering or related field a big plus.
- Experience in the association space, as well as advertising and live event sales preferred.
- Detail oriented with high level of organization required.
- College degree or equivalent experience required.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office; database systems including Access and Excel, Power Point, and ability to learn to use AMS and CRM systems efficiently.
- Ability to maintain quality standards and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting. Ability to operate effectively both independently and within a team environment. Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills. Some travel required.
