What we're looking for: We are seeking an accounting professional responsible for vendor record maintenance, invoice processing, generating disbursements, and recording of financial transactions into the accounting software package. What you'll do: - Review all incoming invoices for proper approval prior to processing
- Review all incoming travel expenses for accuracy and support documentation
- Verify general ledger codes recorded by approvers, with supervisor's review, and correct based on the approved budget
- Follow established procedures to prepare and process check runs
- Record journal entries and file financial documents; maintain reports generated by accounting software
- Create and maintain existing vendor records in the accounting software package
- Maintain and update vendor tax information; acquire all W-9/W-8 forms; remit all 1099 forms as directed
- Respond to vendor inquiries
- Maintain and update detailed reports for Board of Directors tax reporting
- Assist with preparation of audit work papers; provide auditors with information and data
- Establish and maintain various spreadsheets
- Prepare financial analyses and reconciliations
What you'll need: - 3 years of pervious accounts payable or other accounting experience
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage time and stress levels efficiently and professionally while working with interruptions
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word
- Knowledge of Personify software (preferred)
- Knowledge of Great Plains Accounting software (preferred)
