We are an international association looking for a Sales and Relationship Strategist who is passionate about events, both in person and online, technology and providing advertisers the tools they need to succeed.
In this role you will manage the entire sales cycle and will be responsible for ensuring the long-term success of our sponsors and advertisers by developing strategic multi-channel media plans.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and creative problem solver with a thorough understanding of the digital landscape that places a high value on user-experience.
Our offices are located in Illinois but this role may work remotely anywhere in the United States.

Develop an understanding of our products and services and a working knowledge of companies operating in the industries we serve.
Maintain and strengthen relationships with key representatives in companies known to us and proactively identify and develop relationships with new prospects.
Working collaboratively with company representatives, identify the opportune mix of our products and services that best fit clients’ business needs, including
Corporate sponsorship of our events or programs
Corporate advertising in our printed products and digital properties
Exhibit booth rentals at our events
Provides administrative support functions associated with the sales of products and services.
Maintain advertising database.
Develop, monitor and report appropriate leading and lagging indicators monthly and develop annual budget targets.
Coordinate preparation and mailing of the Exhibit Prospectus for individual meetings.
Coordinate preparation and mailing of the Corporate Sponsorship Opportunities for individual meetings.
Coordinate sponsor benefits and manage communication with sponsors.
Develop support materials for sponsors/exhibitors: toolkits, tutorials, upload guides, instructional videos, etc.
Manage the online Exhibitor Success & ROI Center.
Proven experience in sales, ideally with events or tradeshows
Experience working within a digital planning or digital marketing function or experience in selling digital media solutions such as content marketing and native advertising
Ability to learn and adopt new technologies, software, and platforms
Excellent communication, written, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
A dedication to customer success and account management
Ability to travel domestically as well as internationally
