We’re growing our team to lead new and exciting projects in support of our mission. In this role, you will manage administration of committees, advisory panels, assemblies and task forces. You will serve as “go to” person for all committee staff liaisons as the lead staff person on volunteer operations.
An ideal candidate will have at least two years of nonprofit association and committee management experience. You understand the proper balance of taking charge and working collaboratively with teammates. You pride yourself in your project management skills and can adapteasily to changing priorities. Projects are clearly planned, led with confidence, and completed on time.
Responsibilities and Duties
Committee project management, including annual call for volunteers and related processes such as, establishing a project plan to meet required deadlines, communicating the process to AASM members, collecting COI and assignment of copyright forms, notifications, maintain committee records
Staff liaison to the Committee on Committees and others as may be assigned
Annual committee chair report-back to the BOD
Manage the twice annual collection of committee chair, member, and staff evaluation forms
Manage efforts to fill mid-year committee vacancies and update records accordingly
Facilitate cross communication between all AASM committees to leverage their efforts and support the AASM’s strategic plan:
Responsible for planning and execution of quarterly committee alignment meetings
Staff liaison to the Sleep Team Assemblies
Develop educational resources and training to staff on best practices in committee management
Attend conferences, courses, seminars, and meetings as assigned
Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
This position requires some travel, which may include weekends
Qualification and Skills
Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university or equivalent experience.
Minimum two years of experience in a nonprofit association
Minimum two years of committee management
Experience in information management systems, i.e. maintaining databases (collecting, compiling, entering)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal relationship skills
Strong project management skills with great attention to detail
Nonprofit medical association experience
Salesforce and Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience
