CFP Board seeks a highly motivated team player to serve as Director, Examinations. The successful candidate will lead and manage CFP Board’s Examination development and administration, consistent with initial certification and NCCA accreditation standards, as well as best practices of high stakes testing programs. He/she will also develop and monitor project schedules and action plans for Exam program activities. The ideal candidate will embrace open collaboration, possess intellectual curiosity and help the organization deliver results towards fulfilling our mission. Essential Functions - Partners with Managing Director, Professional Practice to lead and manage the CFP® Examination standard function to ensure strategic and operational decisions and actions meet the highest standards, including NCCA accreditation and best practices in the testing field for programs of similar size and scope
- Leads the strategic and operational planning, implementing and evaluating annual examination development, administration, results and evaluation, including management of testing partner, outside contracted firms and consultants, to ensure compliance with CFP Board standards and contractual terms and conditions
- Manages the achievement of CFP® Examination program and practice exam product goals through day-to-day management of exam partner relationship and coordination of exam development, exam delivery, and results reporting functions
- Manages day-to-day operations, maintenance, and monitoring of practice exam performance, including revenue impact
- Serves as the staff liaison to the Council on Examinations, Item Writing Committee, Technical Advisory Group, and other necessary volunteer engagements which focus on high quality volunteer service, current job descriptions, mentoring, training and evaluation
- Maintains current and comprehensive knowledge of all activities for examinees requesting and receiving accommodations, especially those directly affecting examinee registration, test administration, and score reporting.
- Serves and contributes to inter-departmental and organizational committees and task forces, as directed, with active contributions and follow up on assigned tasks and projects
- Maintains timely, accurate, and professional communication with applicants, candidates, CFP® professionals and others including requests for information, problem resolution and assistance with examination standards successful completion
- Analyses and researches industry trends and best practices to support exam program actions
- Maintains records of meetings and exam administration contract compliance issues
- Creates, reviews, revises, and/or implements ongoing communications to candidates and potential candidates
- Creates and manages information dashboards for Exam functions, ensuring timely and accurate information is provided
- Develops and manages departmental budget
- Serves as a coach and mentor to department staff; actively invest in team’s professional growth and development
- Performs other duties as assigned
