The American Society of Plastic Surgeons is looking for a customer service professional to join our team in Arlington Heights, Illinois!

BASIC FUNCTION

Functions as the front line information center for ASPS. Responds to and fulfills all member requests via email, phone or in person at meetings. Requests include but are not limited to: registering for ASPS educational programs; purchasing products and services; membership process inquires; general ASPS inquires. Maintains and supports all membership administrative functions which lead to attracting and retaining members. Generates appropriate reports to process and close out daily transactions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Answer and process incoming emails and calls in a timely manner, with emphasis on first contact resolution of the request while utilizing a courteous and professional approach.
• Respond to member email or phone inquiries regarding status, ethics, CME, MOC, change of address and other related membership issues.
• Process and monitor member documentation in support of the membership process.
• Complete all administrative processes for membership (e.g. applications, monthly elevations for membership).
• Provide support for database management projects as assigned.
• Performs database functions including maintenance of member and non-member data, monitoring consistency of member data entry, reviewing member data for accuracy and to insure completeness.
• Help to determine opportunities for process improvement and keep abreast of accepted departmental processes.
• Function as an ASPS representative and staff support at ASPS functions and related meetings as assigned.
• Stay apprised of ASPS activities, policies and services to respond to inquiries
• Utilize Contact Log system to track member communication and resolutions.
• Determine caller needs and recommend appropriate products and services (up-sell and cross-sell).
• Accept and process product orders and meeting registration for members and staff as requested.
• Handle product returns with fulfillment vendors.
• Process appropriate invoices for payment including P.O.’s for refunds on products and registration cancellations.
• Travel may be required
