Professional membership association located in Bethesda, MD is seeking a Manager of Professional Development. The National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) represents 24,000 members, has a staff of 30, and an annual budget of $8 million. NASP is located in downtown Bethesda, MD, three blocks from the Metro (Red Line). NASP represents school psychology and supports school psychologists to enhance the learning and mental health of all children and youth.
Job Purpose
The Manager of Professional Development is primarily responsible for providing support to the management of the NASP professional development offerings across the association, and to coordinate activities supporting the professional development and growth of school psychologists. The position also supports other professional initiatives within NASP. The position reports to and works under the general supervision of the Director of Professional Development and Standards.

Requirements
Minimum requirement of a bachelor’s degree required. The ideal candidate has excellent technology skills; project management experience; strong organizational skills; creative problem solving skills; effective written and verbal communication skills; collaborative and innovative. Knowledge and familiarity with education and/or psychology; online learning/education platforms; effective adult learning strategies; and experience working in a professional association or coordinating professional development offerings is a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required. Must have the ability to work well with staff, volunteers, and others in a fast-paced collaborative team environment. Minimal travel is required.
