JOB SUMMARY: The Coordinator for Meetings and Events will join a fast-paced association representing the growing snack food industry. The successful applicant will join a highly functional and supportive team of professionals to assist in coordinating and managing the preparations for all meetings and events as directed. Applicant should be detail-oriented and have excellent time management skills to plan, coordinate, and execute many aspects of meetings and events. Applicant will serve as the direct liaison for members, suppliers, and hotel/wait staff to ensure smooth execution of events. Customer service, interpersonal and quick problem-solving skills are required. Applicant will use spreadsheets, email, and other software to plan and organize the events. Job also includes other duties as assigned to assist other departments.
This is an entry level position with room for career advancement.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in designing and executing several small meetings and an annual convention.
Prepare registration lists, schedules, tent cards, badges, on-site signage, etc.
Correspond with sponsors
Help identify and secure vendors (speakers, photographers, etc)
Work with hotels and convention centers
Engage SNAC Member companies
Request snack product donation and ensure proper display at all events
Recruit participants for meetings, as directed
Conduct meeting surveys
Prepare and distribute Planning Committee meeting minutes
Engage directly with member company executives to respond to questions, resolve concerns.
Other duties as assigned to help other departments with general administration.
