Responsible for the day to day management of the MTC Institute, internal and external relationships and projects. Works in partnership with corporate Communications Directors, Corporate Trainer, and Digital Communications Manager
Assist the corporate communications Vice President in scanning the environment in conjunction with MTC officers, board members, center directors, wardens and facility staff, to identify prominent issues to determine the research agenda for the MTC Institute.
Develop and manage the MTC Institute’s budget and projects.
Direct the efforts of MTC Institute employees and consultants.
Develop and maintain close relationships with appropriate policy institutes, researchers, professional associations, recognized individuals, and others that will benefit the MTC Institute’s purpose.
Stay abreast of issues relating to training at-risk youth, corrections, detention and immigration, privatization, success measures, and return on investment.
Ensure timely production, professional appearance, and high level accuracy of content with all MTC Institute projects.
Plan and oversee seminars and meetings sponsored by the MTC Institute, as well as participation in appropriate meetings and conventions.
Participate in key meetings of policymakers and practitioners.
Master’s degree in related field preferred and seven years directly related experience, three of which must be supervisory. Must have organizational and management experience. Must have extensive experience in program, policy and data analysis; research, writing, editing skills; and presentation skills. Must be willing and able to travel. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Unless waived by management, valid driver's license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.
