This role is a new position as our team grows. The Staff Accountant is responsible for the monthly financial close and day-to-day accounting for our chapters/regions and collaborates with our chapters/regions to maintain solid financial documentation.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Prepare reconciliations of various balance sheet accounts in conjunction with our chapter accounting practices. Investigates variances, communicates with chapters and performs necessary adjustments.
Prepares monthly reports and related support for management to review and initiate intercompany transfers for chapters and regions.
Assists as a point of contact to analyze and problem solve chapter and region accounting issues and financial report inquiries.
Reconciles monthly operating bank statements for all chapter and region accounts. Prepares and processes monthly and quarterly intercompany journal entries for the general ledger.
WHO YOU ARE:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business with a strong understanding of accounting standards, experience in general accounting preferred.
Experience with intermediate level Excel, PowerPoint and Accounting software systems preferred.
Good verbal and written communication skills and the desire to assist chapters via email or verbal communications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills commensurate with the ability to work independently.
Ability and desire to work as part of a customer focused team.
