The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), a Washington D.C.-based trade association, is seeking a highly organized Program Manager, Education Evaluation. The Program Manager will manage the evaluation services for NAHB Education, conferences, and additional customized/special research projects as needed. This includes coordinating and executing survey and data collection processes, analyzing data and information sources, producing reports of findings, and identifying trends and developing recommendations about how NAHB can capitalize on the information. He/she will also serve as liaison with committees/councils for content creation and review product evaluations for content development. Responsibilities also include assisting with activities related to the planning of International Builders’ Show Education.
The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of best practices in research, data collection, and analysis. He/she will also be a self-starter with the ability to set work priorities, handle competing deadlines, produce a complete and accurate work product, and anticipate and solve problems. The ability to collaborate with and provide excellent customer service to a variety of staff and key stakeholders is a major key to the success of this role. Candidates should also be able to handle confidential and sensitive information, should have strong verbal and written communication skills, and be well-organized and detail-oriented. In order to develop and manage area budgets, candidates should have knowledge of accounting and budgeting best practices. Experience working with databases and survey software and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with demonstrated experience in Excel/spreadsheet management are required.
A minimum of five years of experience in a trade association or similar organization, preferably in research and data collection and customer service, is required. A Bachelor's degree in business, or an equivalent combination of training and experience, is also required.
