Small staff 501(c)(3) scientific association located in Fairfax City seeks individual to manage publications and communications
Production of web/print quarterly membership magazine, including layout and design, production schedule, coordination of submissions
Production of scientific meeting programs, trade show collateral; branding of Society materials in coordination with web manager
Development of marketing plan/media kit for advertisers and sponsors; development of advertising rate schedules. Point of contact for printing bids, insertion orders/invoicing of advertisers and sponsors;
Coordination of marketing and meeting enewsletters

At least three years' experience in publications/communications and production
Proficiency in Adobe CS, MS Office
Demonstrated creativity in design; familiarity with copyright regulations; familiarity with scientific organizations and terminology helpful
Excellent organizational and communications skills (oral and written); ability to interact with volunteer editorial team members, advertisers and sponsors and maintain production deadlines
Occasional travel to conference locations
Comfortable operating in a small staff office environment
Additional Salary Information: Temporary position through 12-31-17; full time available with full benefits 1-1-2018
