Serves as a member of an energetic, results-oriented Sales Department. The primary responsibility of this position is sales of BICSI training and credentialing products and services as assigned by the VP of Sales and Business Development. Responsible for selling BICSI products and services. Responsibilities include but are not limited to new business development, negotiations and sales in: Membership, Training, Publications/Standards, and Credentialing Exams. This position will be developing and maintaining professional working relationships with key accounts, members, management, co-workers, all BICSI departments and vendors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned.
New business development focused on training products and services
Key account growth for Professional Development of ICT organizations
Effective lead generation & confident with cold calling.
Strong phone and in person based presentation skills.
Ability to identify and design attractive training solutions to fit the client’s needs.
Contract negotiation with senior level executives.
Structured sales and call process.
Time management to handle multiple projects.
Develop a complete understanding of each BICSI product and service, and a working knowledge of the industry. This will include industry trends, products and technologies, purchasing behavior and interests, other major associations, competitive shows, trade magazines and publications, exc.
Prospect other sources to include trade publications, competing shows, directories, lists, etc. for new leads.
Telephone and email campaigns in assigned territory to increase sales results. Establish to identify needs and objectives. Respond to incoming inquires.
Develop comprehensive customer profiles that include training requirements, products, competitors, industry served, goals and objectives, marketing venues utilized, measurement techniques, and other shows participated in, other publications advertised in, etc.
Design and execute effective sales plans with specific customer needs.
Provide ongoing customer service, support and follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction.

High School Diploma required
College Degree preferred
Minimum of 5 years sales and related experience
Proven telephone, email and in person sales experience
Business sales experience required
To perform this job successfully, and individual should have knowledge of:
Customer Database systems (CRM)
Act or Client based software knowledge a plus
Possible travel up to 20% (to include 3 to 6 one week conferences each year; potential customer site visits additional overnight travel such as trade shows or other industry events, totaling approximately 8 weeks) Must have or be able to obtain a US passport for international travel.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as; discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages.
The work environment is a cubical atmosphere, where low to moderate noise or sound will be heard from or made by others sitting around you. It is usually pleasant with minimal loud disturbances.
