The Manager of Business Analytics will play a key role in ASGE’s member and customer engagement efforts. This position will support the membership and marketing departments to achieve business goals using member and customer data analytics, as well as list management and acquisition. This position is responsible for leveraging data sets to identify, analyze and interpret trends and patterns. This individual will analyze and report on member and customer characteristics and purchasing habits to improve targeting and define our personalization strategy.
This position requires an analytical mindset and the ability to deliver recommendations for different business intelligence inquiries. The Manager of Business Analytics is charged with effectively generating targeted lists to drive sales and increase cross-penetration by ASGE’s program areas: physician/professional education, membership, health policy, public education, fundraising, etc.

1.Using business intelligence, generate targeted lists for successful marketing of ASGE programs, products and services.
2.Analyze, summarize and communicate member and customer data to inform decisions, identify trends, evaluate campaign progress and milestones, and for use in recurrent reporting, ad-hoc analysis and modeling.
3.Serve as a key team member in defining, implementing and monitoring ASGE’s member and customer segmentation and personalization strategy.
4.Develop and generate data visualization dashboards on member and customer information on a quarterly basis.
5.Manage in-house lists and list acquisition for the purposes of marketing, overseeing list quality and ensuring proper list usage throughout all the marketing channels.
6.Contribute to data integrity effort through external and internal list management and standardization efforts.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree
3+ years related work experience working with databases, reporting on data and working in an analytical capacity.
Prior association experience a plus
Experience with business analytics, data analysis, and statistics
Knowledge of Tableau and SPSS or SAS a plus.
Strong and proven qualitative and analytical background.
Knowledge of or familiarity with marketing, web and social media analytics
Expertise with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience working with large datasets and with SQL databases.
Experience with iMIS Association Management System is preferred.
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
High level of professionalism. Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated ability to interpret business data and communicate in the form of reports and charts
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment independently and as part of a team.
Demonstrated project management skills to include establishing business requirements, timelines, budgets, and meeting deadlines.
Manage multiple concurrent projects and related constituents.
Must be organized with meticulous attention to details and deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to work with confidential data and information and learn new programs as needed.
