Event Operations Manager with proven success in managing complex events needed to manage and execute logistics for several of our equipment tradeshows. Will work closely with the show manager, internal staff and external partners to execute superior events in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Specific responsibilities include floor plan creation/development, maintenance and exhibit space assignments; developing and recommending show rules and regulations; working with third party vendors and facility/venue personnel to plan and execute operational logistics; onsite management of logistics related to show move-in/out, floor management and troubleshooting operational issues; working with contracts manager to negotiate and finalize vendor contracts; developing and managing budgets; preparing reports; managing logistics related to sponsorship programs; and supporting and looking for ways to strategically and continuously improve event operation logistics and processes to improve the exhibitor experience.

Requires five to seven years of experience in event planning, ideally in the tradeshow environment. Must possess superior planning, project management and problem-solving ability and proficient use of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel. Experience with ExpoCad or AutoCAD important. Also requires strong communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; and a commitment to customer service. Industry-related certification (i.e., CMP or CEM) or degree in meeting/event planning desirable. Requires ability to travel up to 30%.
