Administrative, Clerical, Support, Customer Service and Support
AFS is looking for an energetic and detail oriented individual to fulfill the role of Customer Support Coordinator. This is a key position within the Customer Service Department and the Operations Division that will be part of frontline support for customers of AFS. This role is responsible for coordinating with staff to address issues with the purchase of products, memberships or event registrations as promptly and efficiently as possible. Must be able to collaborate with other staff to improve business processes and customer experience. This position plays a critical role in maintaining and advancing the excellent customer service standard of AFS.
Assist the customer service manager in ensuring that all tasks are done correctively and effectively in the department.
Take initiative and attempt to resolve problems quickly.
Communicate with customers via phone, email or letter with strong communication skills.
Provide timely and accurate information to customers.
Keep abreast of new AFS products and services currently being offered.
Perform Customer Service duties including publication orders, event registrations, membership.
Resolve complaints and answer questions regarding products and services in a timely manner.
Maintain data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures
Analyze transactions and reports, ensuring data is accurate as needed.
Perform various office duties including copying, faxing, filing, switchboard relief for breaks/lunches, etc.
Travel up to 15% of time.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; 4 year Degree preferred.
Must have computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite; Salesforce Software experience preferred.
Must have organizational skills, data entry skills, attention to detail, communication skills and telephone etiquette, and a strong customer service focus.
Must be self-motivated and possess the ability to work independently.
