Develop and implement long-term and day-to-day organizational and departmental policies, procedures, systems and standards providing overall administrative supervision.
Manages the coordination, planning , organizing, assigning, monitoring, analyzing and correcting of the performance and work assignments for the sales and services department staff for LEPFA sponsored, managed,/produced events and properties.
Responsible for assuring the highest quality service and sales growth by establishing goals and supervising the Sales and Services team.
Coordinates the overall sales function of the convention center with the GLCVB Sales staff to maximize revenue potential for LEPFA managed convention center facility while maintaining a high level of customer service.
Develop, maintain, coordinate and serve as liaison with organizations, suppliers, city departments, and private firms to facilitate communication and coordination with event coordination, catering sales, graphic design, marketing and/or sales-related internal planning.
Manages departmental budget meetings and provides expense and revenue projections for the LEPFA managed convention center. Responsible for the preparing and monitoring of departmental budgets with the President and CEO and the Vice President of Finance.
Knowledge of principles and techniques used in the successful management of multi-purpose special event facilities.
Ability to positively interact with others in a courteous, cooperative and professional manner and demonstrate management and leadership skills while positively motivating others.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with a degree in business administration, hospitality management, marketing or related field.
Management experience in the Facilities, Sales or Marketing fields may be substituted at the rate of 2 years of experience for each year of college.
Five (5) years progressively responsible management experience of facilities, sales or marketing management, or combination of equivalent, with experience derived from a convention center, stadium or other public assembly facility or comparable industry.
