We are seeking a creative leader, with a proven history of turning vision into reality, to serve as director of operations for one of our largest clients. The ideal candidate excels at project management, analyzing and solving complex problems, and leading a team in a fast-faced, dynamic atmosphere. The director of operations will collaborate closely with senior leadership, enacting strategies that enhance value for the client and its membership.
Managing multiple overlapping projects as assigned
Effective utilization of all resources to deliver on expected results
Process oriented providing documented regular communication regarding project status
Monitor and evaluate processes, operations and projects on their effectiveness, and either make improvements, or if necessary, recommend changes for improvement to senior leadership.
An ambassador of the organizations vision, strategy and culture
Building a team culture that is customer centric vs being internally focused
Building, developing and motivating a team of 4 direct reports that is successful delivering on expected results
Effectively communicates throughout the organization and volunteer community
Consistently demonstrates leadership qualities that embodies the organizations culture
Working knowledge of both the P&L and balance sheet while having clarity on expected financial results
Manages ISAs budget and delivers results within current year budget constraints
Participate in annual budgeting planning process by developing project budgets and supporting business justifications
Builds positive relationships based on results, credibility and trust
Effectively interacts with both the Fernley and ISA internal staff
Effectively interacts with the external volunteer ISA leadership
Represents ISA at on site member events
Participates in executive leadership meetings as needed
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Ability to analyze complex problems and implement effective solutions
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community
Advanced creative- and critical-thinking skills
Working knowledge of the principles and processes of computerized database systems
Ability to gather data and compile reports
Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities
Ability to supervise and train employees, including organizing, prioritizing and scheduling work assignments
Work independently, manage schedule and meet timelines.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Ability to see both the little details and the big picture
Education and Work Experience:
7-10 years experience
