AHCA NCAL is seeking a Convention & Meetings Specialist with a commitment to improving lives by delivering solutions for quality care. The person in this role will manage planning for 35-40 AHCA/NCAL governance and committee meetings and assist with meeting and event logistics for five annual conferences and the annual convention. The person in this role will also support additional logistical needs for meetings, events, conferences and conventions as needed.
Skills & Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree and 3-4 years hotel or convention/meetings work experience.
The ideal candidate will have:
Knowledge of hotel, exhibit and/or event planning preferred.
Excellent computer proficiency – MS Office, Word, Excel
Ability to learn and use new software quickly, including AHCA/NCAL Pro-tech Windows/Web based Association Management System.
Demonstrated analytical skills, excellent written and verbal skills; ability to work independently; attention to detail and superior organizational skills; good decision making and problem solving skills; ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Ability to negotiate difficult situations with calmness, diplomacy and decisiveness.
Superior customer service skills.
Ability to work as a team player at the department and organizational levels.
Additional Salary Information: Low to High 50's + 10% bonus potential.
