Founded in 1979, the AAAHC includes 17 member organizations representing the broad spectrum of ambulatory health care, and is the leader in accreditation in this space with nearly 6,000 organizations accredited nationwide. The AAAHC is committed to maintaining its position as the preeminent leader in developing standards to advance and promote patient safety, quality, value and measurement of performance for ambulatory health care through peer based accreditation processes, education and research. AAAHC has an operating budget of $19 million and a staff of 68.
AAAHC has a 31 member Board of Directors, a 5 member Executive Committee, and a 15 member Governing Council. As a member of the leadership team, the Chief Financial Officer will partner with other leaders in budgeting, financial monitoring, and reporting of all financial activities of The Accreditation Association (AAAHC and its subsidiaries and the AAHHS).
In a leadership role, the Chief Financial Officer of the AAAHC will: Direct the fiscal functions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP); Plan, develop, implement and evaluate the organization’s fiscal function and performance, including forecasting and expense planning, financing of capital improvements, investments, and new business analysis, while ensuring legal and regulatory compliance; Ensure the performance and achievement of short and long-range goals for the Finance Department; Coach management staff to ensure that annual budgets are linked to organizational strategic objectives; Serve as executive staff liaison to the Audit and Finance Committee of the Board of Directors and the Board Treasurer.
