The American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT) is seeking a Meetings Registration and Logistics Coordinator to fulfill a varying degree of tasks to assist the Director of Programs and Conferences.
The successful candidate will:
Coordinate all registration needs for national meetings, including the needs of speakers, interface with the Communications Department regarding awards, medals, plaques and certificates.
Manage the registration desk at national meetings and orient temporary staff and volunteers to the onsite registration process and organize various other logistics throughout the meetings.
Organize travel logistics, food and beverage for the Physics Olympiad, manage the details of the New Faculty Workshop and fulfill other general office duties within the Programs and Conferences Department of AAPT.
High School diploma or equivalent is required with a minimum of one year experience in the meetings and logistics industry.
Some College preferred.
Preferred knowledge of association management database systems such as iMIS, RISE, Crystal Reports, ISG Project and iWEB builder.
Must have excellent organizational, keen attention to detail, strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills and ability to handle various multiple tasks in an efficient and timely manner
