The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for creation and implementation of the International Association of Accessibility Professional's marketing and communications activities. This position requires strong written and verbal communications skills, a positive commitment to customer service, attention to detail, and a knowledge of current marketing and communications tactics including direct marketing, social media, and web site editorial maintenance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop contents for all messaging to IAAP members, and prospects for membership, webinar attendance, certification, and conference attendance
Send regular email for webinars, member communications, certification, conferences, etc.
Develop marketing collateral including brochures, flyers, etc. when needed.
Communicate IAAP’s message effectively by enhancing our presence on social media
Monitor and post messages on IAAP Connections (IAAP social collaboration platform) as appropriate
LinkedIn – keep IAAP account updated as appropriate, promote through groups in LinkedIn
Twitter – send out tweets several times a week, work to increase following
WEB SITE MAINTENANCE
Oversee quality and accuracy of information posted on the IAAP web site
Update and edit IAAP website pages as required
Analyze web traffic and suggest to IAAP management web site enhancement and ways to promote traffic and usage of IAAP services by members
A professional experienced in managing direct marketing campaigns and well versed in web editing and social media.
Able to excel at independent work and closely manage project timelines with minimal oversight.
Able to work effectively out of a home office environment with remote management.
Strong written and oral communications skills.
At least two to three years of successful track record in fulfilling similar tasks for profit or nonprofit organizations.
A positive attitude and strong customer service orientation.
Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.
Basic html and graphic design skills would be most desirable.
Experience with Microsoft Office
Experience with association management systems desirable (ideally Timberlake and Higher Logic)
Experience with Content Management Systems and Email Marketing software (ideally Timberlake and Mailchimp)
Previous experience or knowledge of accessibility of information technology and digital contents would be most desirable.
Telecommuting is allowed.
Additional Salary Information: Part Time or Contract Position - 20 hours per week
Can work from anywhere (although Tampa, FL area is ideal)
