A small, dynamic industry trade association is seeking an individual to provide support for a number of the Association's existing programs, help shepherd the growth of new programs and initiatives, and perform general office management and light bookkeeping functions. This is a terrific opportunity to see initiatives through from start to finish, and help the Association move to the next level.
General responsibilities include:
Serving as office manager
Supporting member renewal process
Providing support in preparation for annual Woodworking Industry Conference (WIC)
Coordinating annual scholarship and awards programs
Assisting the work of Association committees and the Foundation Board of Trustees
Coordinating logistics of office move to Fairfax/Merrifield area in September
Providing general support to the President and CEO and Board of Directors when necessary
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience working for an association or similar entity. Excellent customer service, administrative, written and oral communications, and organizational skills are vital, as are proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, attention to detail, and the ability to be self-motivated. Some familiarity/comfort with databases and social media a plus.
Salary upper 40s/low 50s, commensurate with experience. Very casual work environment. Office is currently across the street from King Street Metro but will be moving to Fairfax/Merrifield (not far from Mosaic District) in late September.
